Vehicle presence detection on the Samuel Beckett Bridge with TrafiCam x-stream ››
The Samuel Beckett Bridge in Dublin (Ireland) is a cable-stayed bridge, with a total length of 120 meters, and joins the north and the south side of the city over the River Liffey in the Docklands area. It has been officially opened to traffic on the 11th December 2009 and its purpose is to facilitate traffic flow traversing the capital from north to south. And where does video detection technology fit in here?

At the 15th World Congress on ITS Traficon introduced TrafiCam x-stream, a new video detection sensor for intersection control. The basic concept remains: a combination of CMOS sensor and video detection technology on one platform for vehicle presence detection.
